Alphonse Paul Dapprich, Age 77, died on October 27, 2016, of cardiac arrest at Canonsburg Hospital, Canonsburg, PA. He was born on June 11, 1939 in Pittsburgh, PA to Alphonse and Nelda Dapprich who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Diane Mysliwczyk, and his brother James Dapprich, both of Pittsburgh, PA. He is survived by two sisters, Linda (Dennis) Forney of South Park, PA and Clare (Don) Bolivar of Daytona Beach, FL. He is also survived by his children, Deneen (Tony) Allison of Montgomery, AL and Darrell (Julie) Dapprich of Wetumpka, AL.  He had 6 grandchildren, Rhiannon Allison, Jacob Allison, Christian Dapprich, Ashleann Dapprich, Emily Grace Dapprich and Joshua Dapprich, whom he loved very much. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He served in the Army National Guard for 30 years from 1958 through 1988 when he retired full time. He started his Army career in 1958 at Ft. Knox, KY and served his first 13 years in the guard and on active duty in Pittsburgh, PA.  In 1971 he was transitioned to Tucson, AZ where he served as full time National Guard as an E8 in the motor pool division. He served as the Guard’s union representative for two years and taught many tactical classes to other guard members in combat school. His hobbies included golf, traveling, and cars, which he owned many of and was constantly working on. A private memorial service will be held for family members only.
