Ann K. (Bartko) Walls

Ann Katherine (Bartko) Walls, age 92 of Fairchance, PA passed over to heaven peacefully from her home Friday afternoon, August 18, 2017. She and her twin sister were born on the family farm in Haydentown, to Michael and Mary Bartko.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William Melroy Walls; treasured sons, Murrel “Bud” and infant Terry; granddaughters, Jennifer Walls Gehrken and LeAnne Rode; 7 siblings: John, Joe, Helen, May, Agnes, Dorothy and Katie.

Ann’s joy was being a homemaker and caring for her family. A life-long resident of Cooleytown, she was known as “Aunt Ann” by the children who grew up in her neighborhood. She loved and served the Lord for many years and was a member of Faith Assembly of God and New Life Free Methodist Church.

Ann is survived by her children: William I. Walls and his wife Judy of Fairchance, Judy Rode and her husband Leo of Smithfield, and  Kenneth Walls and his wife Thelma of Fairchance; 7 grandchildren: Scott Walls and his wife, Marcy, Lisa Jellick and her husband Ron, Waylon Walls and his wife, Margie, Stacy Beard and her husband Jeff, Adrian Walls and his wife, Krisa, Allison Moore and her husband, Randy and Joshua Walls and his wife Christina; 11 great grandchildren: Amy Lucci, Cristi Manchester, Lindsey Walls, William Walls, Riley Walls, Tristan Walls, Tyler Walls, Sara Walls, Avery Walls, Aiden Walls, Randy Moore, Sydney Moore and Connor Moore;   great great granddaughter, Morgan Manchester; cherished twin sister, Margaret Baird;  special niece Carol Morgan.

Ann’s family and friends may gather from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, August 20, 2017 in The Goldsboro-Fabry Funeral Home, Inc., 21 E. Church Street, Fairchance, PA and until 11 a.m. Monday, August 21, 2017 with her son, Pastor Ken Walls and Pastor Jason Lamer conducting her home-going service.

Interment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park, Brownfield, PA.
