Betty Audrey (Chipps) Switalski, age 93, formerly of Rubles Mill, PA, passed away on January 20, 2017, at the Golden Living Center in Uniontown, PA. She was born January 15, 1924 in Haydentown, PA a daughter of Charles E. and Daisy M. Chipps.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Charles T. Switalski; brother, William Chipps (infant) and W. Alvie Chipps; sisters: Sylvia M. Chipps, Emma Chipps Sarah E. Scopel, Isa J. Cooper, Edna O. Myers and Lula M. Popeski.
Betty is survived by four sons: Charles E. Switalski, Sr. and his wife Linda of Hopwood, PA, Leonard W. Switalski, Sr. and his wife Beverly of Columbia, MD, Mark D. Switalski and his wife Margaret of Sierra Vista, AZ, Rodney A. Switalski and his wife Claudia of Uniontown, PA; brother, Charles R. Chipps and his wife Joan of Foley, AL; six grand children: Charles E. Switalski, Jr. and his wife Jamie of Greensburg, PA, Leonard W. Switalski, Jr. and his wife Jen Nai of Lanexa, VA, Glenda F. Welsh and her husband Peanut of Steinhatchee, FL, Heather L. Anderson of West Chester, OH, Audrey S. Hulen and her husband Ronnie of Troy, NC, Douglas T. Switalski of Chattanoga, TN, Daniel Dellasala of Dallas TX; eight great-grandchildren.
Betty will be missed by special friends: Shirley Conaway (niece) of Uniontown, PA, Ruth Dennis of Hopwood, PA, Stephanie Dudash of Taneytown, MD and Carol Beasley of Steinhatchee, FL.
Betty was a member of the Free Methodist Church in Whitehouse, PA.
Betty’s family will receive friends in the Goldsboro-Fabry Funeral Home, Inc., 21 East Church Street, Fairchance, PA, 15436 on Monday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. the hour of her funeral service with the Reverend George W. McLauglin, officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Moriah Cemetery, Smithfield, PA.
Donations may be made in Betty’s memory to an Alzheimer’s or Dementia foundation of one’s choice. The family wishes to thank the staff of the Golden Living Center for their compassionate and professional care.
