Catherine Marie (Hoffman) Young

Catherine Marie Hoffman Young age 68 of Uniontown passed away Thursday, July 13, 2017 at her home. She was born on June 8, 1949 in Newark, N.J., a daughter of Jesse Hoffman and Rose Dowd Hoffman.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers: Jesse Hoffman and William “Butch” Hoffman; sisters: Elizabeth Bean and Margaret Watson.

Left to cherish her memory are her children: Teresa Hurshman and her husband Robert of Uniontown, Joseph W. Young III and his wife Tonee of N.C.; grandchildren: Damien and his wife Allyson, Nicole Brosky and her friend, Tony Lewis, Hope Young and Joseph W. Young, IV; great grandson, Connor; brother, Gregory Burns and his wife Kathleen; sisters: Rosemary Hoffman, Barbara Cornish.

Catherine’s family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Monday, July 17, 2017 in the Goldsboro-Fabry Funeral Home, Inc., 21 E. Church Street, Fairchance, PA where her funeral service will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 with Rev. Gary Workman, officiating. Interment will follow in The National Cemetery of the Alleghenies with Full Military Honors.

The family would like to extend a special “Thank You” to the staff of the Uniontown Amedysis Hospice.
