Charles Harold McCoy

Charles Harold McCoy, Age 79 of Oliphant Furnace passed away on Thursday, August 18, 2016 at his home with his loving family by his side. He was born on August 2, 1937 in Chalk Hill, PA, son of Charles R. McCoy and Anna Belle Smith McCoy.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Helen David McCoy.

He was retired after 18 years of service from US Steel Duquesne Works and the Maintenance Department of the Uniontown Mall. Harold enjoyed spending time with his family, watching old Westerns, gardening, building puzzles and relaxing on his porch.

He is survived by his two children: Katherine Bedson and her husband Lance of Lexington, KY, Marvin “Marty” Lilley of Oliphant Furnace, PA ; grandchildren: Josh Bedson, Tyler Bedson,  Jessica Zuzak, Sarah Lilley; four great grandchildren: Adylane, Alayna, River, Caleb; sister: Katherine Harris of Ohio Pyle, PA; several nieces and nephews; canine buddies: Poncho and Willy Boy.

Harold’s family will receive friends from 2-4 And 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, August 21, 2016 in the Goldsboro-Fabry Funeral Home, Inc., 21 E. Church Street, Fairchance, PA 15436 where his funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. on Monday, August 22, 2016 with Chaplain Michael Lyons, officiating. Interment to follow in Chalk Hill Cemetery, Chalk Hill, PA.

Memorial contributions can be made to the American Leukemia Society. The family would like to extend a special thank-you to the nurses and staff at Amedysis of Uniontown.
