Evelyn June (Shaw) Dandrea

Evelyn June (Shaw) Dandrea of Uniontown passed away on Thursday, April 29, 2016 at her home with her loving family by her side. She was born on December 7, 1921 in Brownfield, PA, a daughter of Samuel Shaw and Nellie (Spiker) Shaw.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Peter (Pete) Dandrea, two brothers: Robert Shaw and James Shaw.

She was a graduate of South Union High School Class of 1939 and enjoyed being on the reunion committee. She was formerly employed by the Malsbary Mfg., Co., Richmond Radiator Co., and Ambers Jewelry in Uniontown. She was a member of the Brownfield United Methodist Church andformer choir member.  

Evelyn is survived by two sons: Jeffrey Dandrea at home and Peter Dandrea and his wife Susan of Uniontown; three grandchildren: Angela Guthrie and husband Tommy of Uniontown, Peter Dandrea,Jr. of Uniontown and Danielle Dandrea and fiancé Tom Lazarz of Winnsboro, TX; one great grandson, Nathan Dandrea of Uniontown and one great great grandson, Brady Dandrea; one sister, Janice Shaw Wilhelm of Pittsburgh; several nieces and nephews; her canine buddies Zeeky and Dillion.

Evelyn’s family will receive friends onMonday May 2, 2016 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in the Goldsboro-Fabry Funeral Home,Inc., 21 E. Church Street, Fairchance, PA where her funeral service will takeplace at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 with Rev. Madison Stringfellow, officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery, Brownfield, PA.
