James Clayton Whipkey

James Clayton “Jim” “Doc” Whipkey, age 67 of Fairchance, PA passed away Friday January 15, 2016 in Uniontown Hospital with his loving family by his side. He was born on June 14, 1948 a son of Dalton James Whipkey and Alice Virginia Benson Whipkey.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Whipkey.

Clayton, is survived by his loving wife, Linda Hall Whipkey, siblings: Diana Keegan and her husband Ray of Greensburg, PA, Charles Evans Whipkey and his wife Pam of Spotsylvania, VA, Lauren Mansberry and her husband Lee of Uniontown; several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Clayton proudly served his country in the Navy serving onboard the USS Askari during the Viet Nam Era. He was also a member of the Fairchance VFW  and the National Rifle Association.

Clayton family will receive friends from2-4 and 6-8 PM on Monday, January 18, 2016 at the Goldsboro-Fabry Funeral Home, Inc., 21 E. Church Street, Fairchance, PA and ubtil 11 am on Tuesday, the hour of his Funeral Service with Pastor Diane Olson, officiating.  Interment will follow in the White Rock Cemetery, Fairchance, PA where full military honors will be accorded by the Hopwood Amvets General Marshall Post 103.
