Joanne Haines (Haines) Weber

April 5, 1936 ~ April 26, 2016 (age 80) 80 Years Old


On April 26th, 2016, Joanne Haines Weber lost her valiant battle with cancer and went to be with her savior, Jesus Christ.  Joanne was born on April 5th, 1936 to Joseph Clarence Haines and Mildred Williams Haines.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Virginia, her oldest brother Charles (Doris) Haines, and her younger brother, Richard.  Joanne is survived by her husband, Tom, and two sons, Chuck and Joel (April) Weber, as well as her grandchildren, Faith and Brendan Weber, her sister, Marian Haines Radosevich,.  Her extended family includes many nieces and nephews.

A lifelong member of the Pleasant Hills / Jefferson Hills community, Joanne and her family were also lifetime members of Pleasant Hills Community Presbyterian Church, where she was active in Women’s Ministries, Stephan Ministries, Chancel Choir, Women’s Bell Choir, and many bible study groups.   She received her degree in Art Education from Carlow University and student taught at Thomas Jefferson High School in the late 1970’s.

Joanne loved her family and had many fond memories of family activities including trips to the shore, touring the country, visiting Europe and Hawaii vacations, to touch on a few.  She loved her Labrador Retrievers, bred and sold them out of her kennel, Oakcrest Labradors.

A gifted artist, she was skilled in oil painting and pottery, as well as quilting, knitting and sewing.  She was always making that special gift for someone, and her art touched the lives of many folks.  Joanne will be remembered for her talents, and her selfless work and love for Our Father’s Kingdom. 

A Memorial and Celebration of Life service will be held in the Sanctuary of Pleasant Hills Community Presbyterian Church at 11:00 AM on May 5th, 2016. 

Donations may be made in Joanne’s name to the American Cancer Society, and / or to Pleasant Hills Community Presbyterian Church.

Joanne’s professional funeral services have been entrusted to the Goldsboro-Fabry Funeral Home, Inc., Fairchance, PA.
