Betty Parsons Obituary

Betty Sharon (Null) Parsons, age 86 of Uniontown formerly of Fairchance, PA passed away on Sunday, October 14, 2018 in Uniontown Hospital with her loving children by her side. She was born on July 10, 1932 in Dupont Village, a daughter of Herman and Mary Martha Knight Null.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 61 years, Richard C. Parsons, Sr.; sisters: Patty Lafferty and Mary Jo Howell; brother, George Null; brother in law, William Lafferty; daughter in law, Cheryl Parsons.

Betty was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her children: Richard C. Parsons, Jr. of Uniontown and Sharon Capan and her husband Ron of Pittsburgh, PA; grandchildren: Kurt Parsons and his wife Jennifer of Pasadena Maryland, Adrienne Gyure and her husband Jonathan of Bradenton, Florida, Matthew Capan and his wife Laura of Pittsburgh, Elizabeth Oden and her husband Patrick of Vadnais Heights, Minnesota; nine great grandchildren; brother, William Null and his wife Vicki of Fairchance; sister in law, Theresa Null of Fairchance; several nieces and nephews.

Betty’s family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, October 18, 2018 in the Goldsboro-Fabry Funeral Home, Inc., 21 E. Church Street, Fairchance, PA 15436 where her funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday with Pastor Michael Lyons, officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Moriah Baptist Church Cemetery, Smithfield, PA.
