Edgar Harvey Sines, Jr.

Edgar Harvey Sines, Jr., age 91, of Fairchance, PA passed away at his home on Saturday, November 30, 2019 with his loving family by his side. He was born at Friendship Hill, Fayette County on October 24, 1928 a son of Edgar Harvey Sines, Sr. and Margaret Cleg Sines.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by: brother, Theodore Sines; sister, Betty McLaughlin.

Ed proudly served his country in the armed services, 10 years in the United States Army and 11 years in the United States Air Force before retiring. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, fishing. gardening, farming, feeding birds, squirrels and cats.

He is survived by his children: Brenda, Michael, Irmgard, Hilda, Giessla and Edgar. III; grandchildren: Crystal, Edgar IV, numerous additional grandchildren; great grandchildren: Caden William, Mason, Logan, Annessa, Amiyah, several additional great grandchildren; loving companion, Edith Welling and her children, Harry and Marge.

Ed’s family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at the Goldsboro-Fabry Funeral Home, Inc., 21 E. Church Street, Fairchance, PA where his funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor David Herring, officiating. Interment to follow at Evergreen Memorial Park, Point Marion, PA with full military rights and honors be accorded by the V. F. W. Post 747 of Point Marion.
