Anna Grace Murphy

Anna Grace (Adams) Murphy, age 88, former resident of McClellandtown, PA. passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on Thursday, September 27, 2012 at Broadview Multi-Care Center in Parma OH.

Anna Grace was born on May 10, 1924 in Martin, PA a daughter of the late Samuel and Minnie Mae (Butt) Adams of Smithfield, PA.

Preceding her in death in addition to her parents were her husband, George D. Murphy Jr.; Sons Lester and George Murphy; Brothers: Samuel, Robert, John "Bud", Merle and Burdette; sisters: Eva, Elnora, Dorothy and Lillian.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving daughter, Janice Clark and her husband William of Brooklyn Heights, OH; Granddaughters: Kim Shannon Makin and her husband Singleton of Los Angeles, CA and Melinda Murphy; Grandsons: Scott Clark and his wife Natalie of Parma, OH and Lenny Murphy; Great Grandson, Cody Clark; Sisters: Gladys Murphy of Cleveland, OH and Rayalene King of Uniontown, PA; Brother, Wilmer "Jake" Adams of Lake Lynn, PA: many nieces and nephews. Anna Grace will be sadly missed by her loving family.

Anna Grace lived in Pennsylvania for many years before relocating to Ohio where she was Administrator of Parma Nursing Home for 10 years. She was also em ployed as a nurse for Western Reserve Hospital for 37 years. A talented musician who enjoyed singing and playing the guitar with her family. Anna Grace was a member of Oak Hill Baptist Church.

Family and friends will be received in The Goldsboro-Tomi Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Inc. 21 E, Church St., Fairchance, PA, John M. Fabry, Supervisor, J. Michael Fisher, Funeral Director on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm and on Monday, October 1, 2012 until 11 am the time of the Funeral Service with Rev. George W. McLaughlin, officiating. Interment to follow in Church Hill Cemetery, McClellandtown, PA.
