Betty Lou (Smith) Davis, age 76, of Fairchance, PA passed away suddenly on Thursday September 19, 2019, at Uniontown Hospital.
She was born on March 2, 1943 in Gans, Pa, the daughter of the late Hugh and Evelyn Blaney Smith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her husband of 42 years, Marvin D. Davis; daughters: Rouchell Marie and Lisa Marie; grandson: Cody Allen; daughter-in-law: Kimberly; step-son: Eric Davis; brothers: Donald and Hugh (Skeeter); and sisters: Anna and JoAnn.
Left to cherish her memory are; sons: Allen (Kim) Adams of Gans PA and Grant (Jill) Adams of Cornelius NC; grandchildren: Alexa Randolph, Delaney Adams, Noah Adams, and Jacob Adams; great-grandson: Jax Smith; sisters: Jeannie (Sonny) Jackson of Batavia OH, Linda (Albert) DeVault of Gans, PA; stepchildren; Melanie Jordan of Braselton GA, Jeffrey (Susan) Davis of Pittsburgh, PA, Kelly (David) Cook of Westminster MD; and lifelong friend and sister-in-law Raylene King.
Betty, a retired local business owner and deeply devoted Christian, was a beloved member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Fairchance, PA, where she contributed her beautiful voice to the church choir, was a lay minister, church secretary, and very dedicated church member. She loved her family, gardening, and sharing her life with family and friends and will be deeply missed by all.
Betty’s family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 24, 2019, from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM at the Goldsboro-Fabry Funeral Home, Inc., 21 East Church Street, Fairchance, PA, 15436, additional visitation will be held on Wednesday from 10 to 11 AM, followed by a brief funeral service with Pastor Deborah Lambert officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Moriah Cemetery, Smithfield, PA.
