Carolyn P. (Prough) Grimm

Well done my good and faithful servant. Welcome Home!  Carolyn Grimm, 86 of Smithfield entered her heavenly home on Sunday, March 24, 2024.  She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Mae Prough; her brother, Elmer; sisters: Nan, Betts, Barb and Wilma Lee. She was also preceded in death by her husband; Howard, Billy, a son in infancy; most recently her son in law, Paul Hoferka.

Left to cherish her memory are her children: Karen Hoferka, Kim (Steve) Holt, Jeff (Lisa) Grimm, Brian (Shelly) Grimm. She also leaves behind 8 grandchildren of whom she was most proud: D’Anne Hoferka  4Matt Petchatsko), Sara Bell (Jeff) Adams, Allison (George) Reagan, Megan Holt (Ron Semarge), Courtney Grimm, Kelcie Grimm, Destiny Grimm, Cody (Jessica) Grimm. But her pride and joy in life were her 8 great grandchildren: Remington Bell, Emery Adams, Ariel Reagan, Phillip Reagan, Katija Lewis, Czarina Rich, Lakeyn Grimm, Margot Grimm.

Carolyn’s family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at the Goldsboro Fabry Funeral Home, Inc., 21 E. Church Street, Fairchance, PA where her funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. on Thursday with pastor A. J. Byers, officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Moriah Baptist Church Cemetery.

Carolyn’s family would like to extent a special “thank-you” to Uniontown Amedisys Hospice for the outstanding care Carolyn received, especially her nurse, Miranda.
