Charles M. Harris, Jr.

Charles Manning Harris, Jr., age 87 passed away Saturday January 10, 2015 at his home in Ormond Beach, FL. He was born in Palatka, FL on February 8, 1927 a son of Charles M. and Mary Thelma Avent Harris. He is survived by his wife, Deborah Rider Harris and three children: two sons, Timothy William Harris of Arlington, VA and David Lloyd Harris of Oxin Hill, MD, and his daughter Terri Harris Rippons and her husband Herbert "Bert" of Hertford, NC. Also surviving are two sisters: Mary Thelma Gray and Norma Jean Loud and her husband Donald; step sons: Gregory C. Kahoe and his wife Jennifer Ashley and Daniel E. Kahoe and his wife Anna.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers: James Lloyd Harris and William Delano Harris.

He served his country in WWII and was member of the American Legion. Visitation took place in Florida on January 15, 2015 and Charles will be laid to rest at the convenience of the family in Mt.
