Cheryl Ann "Filmeck" Parsons

Cheryl Ann "Filmeck" Parsons, age 58, of South Union died Monday, June 3, 2013 at her home after a long illness. She was born March 21, 1955, in Collier, PA a daughter of John and Lena Imperata Filmeck. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother Robert Filmeck. Cheryl is survived by her husband of 39 years, Richard C. Parsons, Jr.; daughter, Adrienne Gyure and her husband Jon of Bradenton, FL; son, Richard Kurt Parsons and his wife Jennifer of Pasadena, MD; five grandsons: Jonathan 10, Richard Cole 7, Jordan 6, Seth 4, Jared 3; two sisters: Mary Ann Bell and her husband Reynold of Hopwood, PA. Fran Rider and her late husband Jeffrey of Fairchance, PA; brothers: Jack Filmeck and his wife Catherine of Virginia, Joseph Filmeck and his wife Michele of York Run, PA; and also many nieces and nephews. Friends and relatives will be received in the Goldsboro-Tomi Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Inc., 21 E. Church Street, Fairchance, PA, 15436, John M. Fabry, Supervisor on Wednesday June 5th, 2013 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. Additional visitation will take place on Thursday 10 am until 11 am, the hour of the funeral service with Pastor Jason Lamer officiating. Interment to follow in Mt. Moriah Baptist Cemetery, Smithfield, PA.
