Edna V. Loeffel

Edna V. Loeffel, age 90, of Hopwood, PA died Monday January 6, 2014, at her home. Edna was born in Marietta, Ohio on August 20, 1923, a daughter of Frank and Helen Valentine.

In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Elmer A. Loeffel, two children: Helen Louise (WeeDee) and Curtis A. Loeffel.

Edna is survived by her son, F. Thomas Loeffel and his wife Leslee of Naples, Florida; two daughters: Penelope Marston of York, Pa and Patricia Ann Deveny of Pittsburgh, PA. , nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Also left behind is her canine buddy, Jenny.

Edna retired as the postmaster of Lemont Furnace. She was a member of Hopwood Garden Club; Fay City Chapter 2002 Retired Federal Employees and the First Presbyterian Church in Fairchance, PA.

Memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Fairchance, 114 W. Church Street, Fairchance, PA. Family and friends will be received on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm in The Goldsboro-Tomi Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Inc., 21 E. Church Street, Fairchance, PA, John M. Fabry, Supervisor. Additional visitation will take place on Friday at the First Presbyterian Church of Fairchance from Noon until 1pm, the time of the funeral service with the Rev. Robert Robinson officiating
