Elizabeth F. (Smith) Kooser

Elizabeth F. Smith Kooser, 93 of Brownfield, Pa passed away on Saturday, June 8, 2024 in WVU Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, WV. Elizabeth was born on December 9, 1930 in Elizabeth NJ, a daughter of John and Mary Garry Smith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death  by her husband, James Robert Kooser; grandchildren: Todd Kooser, Mark Kooser, Chad Kooser; step sons: James R.Kooser II, Ronald D. Kooser, Gary E. Kooser: sisters: Mary Simonitis, Ann Calavano, Helen Hemmings; brothers: John Smith, William Smith.

Elizabeth was the last survivor of her immediate family.

She is survived by two daughters: Carolyn Kooser, Lori Geisler and her husband Larry; grandchildren: Timothy Kooser, Heather Kooser, Andrew Kooser, Lindsay Geisler, great grandchildren: Malaina Heitzenrater, Leyna Kooser, Jaxun Clark; daughters in law: Alice Kooser, Sherry Kooser; several nieces and nephews. 

Elizabeth’s family will receive friends on Thursday, June 13, 2024 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Goldsboro Fabry Funeral Home, Inc., 21 E, Church Street, Fairchance, Pa with Rev. Steve Lamb, officiating. Elizabeth’s funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park, Brownfield, Pa.
