Emil T. "Tom" "PAP" Verbosky, age 88, formerly of Uniontown, PA died Tuesday November 20, 2012 in Lafayette Manor, Uniontown, PA. He was born on October 30, 1924 in Leckrone, PA a son of Andrew and Mary Verbosky.
In addition to his parents, Emil was predeceased by his loving wife, Margaret (Karwatske); sisters: Virgina, Frances & Lois; brothers: Edward, Eugene, Robert, Richard & Jim.
He is survived by his sons: Barry Verbosky and his wife Shelley and Keith Verbosky and his wife Dianna both of Uniontown, PA.; grandchildren: Keith Jr., Eric, Barry Jr. and Lauren Verbosky; sisters: Helen of Akron, OH, Pauline of Pittsburgh, PA and Geraldine of Davie, FL.; also many nieces and nephews.
Emil was in the Navy and served his country during WWII. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Hutchinson Gun Club. He loved to hunt, fish and spend time with his grandchildren.
Emil's family will receive friends in the Goldsboro-Tomi Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Inc., 21 E. Church St., Fairchance, PA., John M. Fabry, Supervisor & John Michael Fisher, Funeral Director on Friday, November 23, 2012 from 2-4 pm & 6-8 pm, with a Blessing Service taking place at 7:45 pm. Additional visitation on Saturday morning until 10:30 am, followed by Prayers of Transfer and a Funeral Mass at 11 am in Ss. Cyril & Methodius R. C. Church 50 N. Morgantown Street, Fairchance, PA with the Rev. Father Andrew M. Kawecki as Celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Fairchance, PA where Military Honors will be accorded by the General George C. Marshall AMVETS Post 103 of Hopwood.
