Floyd L. Dankle, age 86, of Smithfield, Pennsylvania died peacefully Thursday, January 26, 2012 at the Golden Living Nursing Home in Uniontown, Pa.He was born May 6, 1925 in Smithfield, Pa., the son of Joseph Dankle and Mary (Ripper) Dankle. Mr. Dankle was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 747 in Point Marion, Pa., and the United Mine Workers of America Local 6310. Floyd was predeceased by his parents; five brothers: Norbert, Joseph, Andrew, and Louis Dankle, and Pete Reicholf; and by seven sisters: Rose Ainsley, Bertha Franks, Joanne Fields, Katherine Williams, Freda Shuster, Marion Weakland, Eva Jarrett. Surviving are his wife, Mary Springer Dankle; one son, Floyd William Dankle and his wife Antoinette of Smithfield; three daughters: Linda Blaney and husband Roger, Dorothy Doyle and husband Robert, Barbara Beckett and husband Daniel all of Smithfield, Pa. seven grandchildren: Roger Jr. and Mike Blaney, Floyd A. Dankle, Robert Jr., Justin and Stephanie Doyle, Courtney Beckett; and six great grand children: Brian, Isabella, Madison, Eliana, Bobby, Angel The family will receive friends in the GOLDSBORO-TOMI FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICE INC., 21 East Church Street, Fairchance, Pa., John M. Fabry, Supervisor, today from 1 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Visitation will continue in the Funeral Home on Monday, January 30, 2012 from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m., the hour of the Service with the Reverend Alvie Edwards officiating. Interment will follow in Mount Moriah Baptist Church Cemetery in Smithfield, Pa.
