Frank "Elwood" Friend

Frank “Elwood” Friend, age 57 of New Geneva died suddenly on Tuesday, June 23, 2015. He was born on July 30, 1957 in Morgantown, WV a son of the late Frank Elwood Moreland and Ivalou Spitler Mattucci.

Elwood is survived by two daughters: Andrea L. Lowe of Uniontown and Linda M. Friend of Leckrone; four grandchildren: Jacinda, Collin and Megan Umble and Taylor Price; three brothers: Charles Joseph and Stephen Friend; four sisters: Mary Lou Buchan, Carol Rhome, Lois Sadler and Betty Sebulsky; also several nieces and nephews.

Elwood was a humble man, grateful for the simple things. He always acknowledging the Lords presence. Now he is in his permanent home in heaven with his mom, dad and his nephews. Elwood attended New Geneva House of God Church.

Elwood’s family will receive friends on Sunday, June 28, 2015 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm in the Goldsboro-Fabry Funeral Home, Inc., 21 E. Church Street, Fairchance, PA. Additional visitation will take place Monday until 11 am, the hour of his funeral service with Pastor Dodson, officiating.     .
