George John Elek

George Elek, age 87, of Fairchance passed away peacefully November 1, 2019 at home with his loving family by his side. He was born in Ronco, a son of Steve and Anna (Sokol) Elek.

In addition to parents he was predeceased by sisters: Julie, Anne and Irene; sister-in-law Cecilia; brother-in-law John.

He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Betty;  daughters: Regina, Kathleen and Andrea (Rich); sister, Elizabeth; brothers: Steve and Martin (Betty);  brother-in-law, Pat; many nieces and nephews.

George was a loving husband and father. He served in Korea with the United States Army. He was a welder by trade and retired from the Boilermakers Local 154. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He will be laid to rest with full military rites and honors at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville, PA.  His services are private and have been entrusted to the Goldsboro-Fabry Funeral Home, Inc., Fairchance, PA.
