George Robert Suhar, 76 of Uniontown, PA passed away unexpectedly at his home on Wednesday, September 18, 2024. He was born in Uniontown on March 13, 1948, a son of the late George and Anna Marie Teitch Suhar.
George proudly served his country in the U. S. Army. He was employed by Volkswagen and retired from Jerome Manufacturing after 20 years of service. After his retirement he was employed by Kacies for the last 6 years. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed all outdoor sports. Most of all he enjoyed his Corvette.
He is survived by his brother, John Joseph Suhar and his wife, Kathy of Colorado Springs, CO; three nieces: Christina, Barbara and Sara; numerous cousins; many friends at Kacies.
George’s family will receive friends at the Boulevard Banquet Center 16 Dixon Blvd., Uniontown, PA (formerly Caddy Shack) from 2-8 p.m. on Monday, September 23, 2024. A Divine Liturgy Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Tuesday at St John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church, 185 E. Main Street, Uniontown with Father Kypain Wojciechowski, celebrant. Interment will follow at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville, PA.
