Georgiana M. Rudar Kobylarczyk, 84, of Smithfield, passed away on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at Quality Life Services, South Fayette Nursing Center, Markleysburg. Born March 25, 1939, in Uniontown, she was the daughter of the late Carrie (Soom) and George Rudar. She was the wife of the late Bill C. Kobylarczyk. They were married November 25,1961, in California. He preceded her in death on October 20, 2001.
Georgiana was a deeply devoted member of the Ss. Cyril and Methodius Roman Catholic Church in Fairchance. She was very active with liturgical music from singing in the choir to serving as their choir director to ultimately becoming a cantor. In addition, she was also involved with funeral services conducted at local funeral homes and bereavement counseling. She retired from National City Bank after more than 20 years of service. She was also a very devoted mother to her children. She is survived by a sister, Angela (Robert) Quaranto of Shadyside; a brother, George (Cyl) Rudar of Temple City, California; two sons: William (Laurie Badzek) Kobylarczyk of State College and Anthony Kobylarczyk of Smithfield; a daughter, Diana (Michael) Trego of Butler; granddaughter, Gabrielle (Josh Sylvester) of Morgantown, W.Va.; two great granddaughters; numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at Goldsboro-Fabry Funeral Home, Inc., 21 E. Church Street, Fairchance on Sunday, March 24, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Prayers of Transfer will be prayed at 9:30 a.m. Monday followed by a funeral mass at 10:00 a.m. in Ss. Cyril and Methodius Roman Catholic Church in Fairchance. Interment will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Fairchance. The Christian Mothers will pray the Rosary at 5:30 p.m. on Sunday.
