James L. Haan

James (Jim or Jimmy) Lester Haan, Jr. peacefully passed away on June 9, 2013 after living a full life. He was born in Chicago, IL September 14, 1961. Jim was preceded in death by his father, James Lester Haan, Sr. He is survived by his mother, Louise R. (Smith) Haan; 1 sister, Pamella Haan Dolan (James), and 2 brothers,, Victor S. Haan and William J. Haan (Valerie); his children, David Haan, Sgt.,U.S. Army (Crystal), Justin Haan, Brittany Aumiller, Brandon Haan and Joshua Haan; and 4 grandchildren. Jimmy was a commercial plumber and also served in the U. S. Marine Corps. He was in his 20s when he heroically saved a baby from a burning apartment. He loved the outdoors, waterskiing, swimming, 4 wheel driving and much more and was always willing to try anything! He enjoyed life, liked to joke and tease. There will be a private memorial service for family. Memorial contributions can be made by donating to a charity of your choice.
