John G. Trump, died, Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at Golden Living Center, Uniontown, PA. John was born August 10, 1924 in Mt. Sterling, PA, a son of John H. and Elizabeth Baird Minerd Trump.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Faye (Charles) Trump.
John is survived by his four sons: Charles (Chuck) Trump and his wife Cheryl, John (Scott) Trump, Mark Trump Sr. and his wife Brenda, James Trump and his wife Karen all of Smithfield, PA. nine grandchildren: Christine, Chuck Jr, Josh, Mark Jr., Matthew, Bradley, Zachary, Jennifer, Shelby, eight great grandchildren: Elizabeth, Hannah, Mason, Kimberly, Brody, Meah, Mark III, Mya. John served his country during WWII in the Navy as a Seaman First Class, Aviation Metalsmith. He was a member of Fayette Lodge No. 228, F. & A. M., and was a 32 Degree Master Mason. He sang in the Lodge of Perfection Choir for many years, member of the Shrine and Tall Cedars of Lebanon. He was a Past Commander of the American Legion Post 342 of Fairchance, member of the Society for the Preservation of Barber Shop Quartet Singing in America, and a former assistant Boy Scout Leader, He was a mechanic & welder for National Mine Inc. for nearly forty years.
John's family will receive friends on Thursday from 6-8 pm, Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm in the Goldsboro-Tomi Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Inc., 21 E. Church Street, Fairchance, PA 15436, John M. Fabry, Supervisor. Additional visitation will take place Saturday morning until 11 am the hour of the Funeral Service with Reverend Beverly Roscoe officiating. Interment to follow at Evergreen Memorial Park, Point Marion, where Military Rites will be accorded by Hopwood AMVETS Post 103. A Masonic Funeral Service will take place Friday at 7 pm in the funeral home.
