Joseph Allen Long

Joseph Allen Long, Age 59, of Connellsville, PA died Tuesday morning at his home. Joe was born on August 13, 1953 in Uniontown, PA. He was the son of Lt. Commander Joseph and E. Jeannette (Brownfield) Long.

In additional to his father, Joe was preceded in death by two brothers: James and David; two sisters: Misty and Tammy; and one niece: Mandy Long-Quinn.

In addition to his mother, Joe is survived by his wife, Barbara Ann (Kingan) Long; two sons: Eric Long of Riceville, Tennessee and his girlfriend Alecia Bryner of Philadelphia, PA, and Aaron Long of Connellsville, PA; two sisters: Amber Long and her husband Ernest Quinn of Derry, PA and Debra Long Priel and her husband David of Gettysburg, PA. Joe was the son-in-law of Gilbert and Carol Kingan of Smithfield, PA; brother-in-law of: Richard and Diane Conover of Pittsburgh, PA, Ed and Patricia Sines of Smithfield, PA, Albert and Jan Kingan of Agawam, MA; nieces & nephews: Christian, Nathaniel, Crystal, Eddie, Katy, Adam, Madelyn Rose, and Anna; and several grand nieces and nephews.

Joe is going to be sadly missed by many friends and his special canine buddy, Shadow.

Joe was employed by the USPS as a letter carrier for 35 years.

Family and friends will be received at the Goldsboro-Tomi Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Inc., 21 E. Church Street, Fairchance, PA 15436 on Thursday evening from 6-8 pm and Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. A Blessing Service will take place Friday at 7:45 pm; Additional visitation will take place Saturday morning until 10am, the time of the funeral service with the Rev. Father Andrew M. Kawecki as Celebrant. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, Fairchance, PA.
