Kenneth Cyril Murphy, Jr passed away on March 27, 2026 at the age of 80. Ken lived a full and meaningful life, marked by his work and his love for music. He proudly served in the Navy Show Band where he shared his talent as a saxophonist. Throughout his career, he worked with United States Steel, Washington Metropolitan Transit, and H&R Block.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Gloria Murphy; his son, Kenneth Murphy, III; and his parents Minnie and Kenneth Murphy, Sr.
Ken leaves behind a loving family who will cherish his memory: his daughter, Adela Harlow; granddaughter, Amber Burgess; grandsons Norrin Voccio (Paige) and Larry Baumiller (April); and his great-grandchildren, Khiry, Karter, Kali, Abbigale, and Larry. He is also survived by his sister, Jeannine Carol Murphy Schnatterly; and nephews Gary Schnatterly (Julie), Richard Schnatterly (Josephine), and Robert Schnatterly; and great-nephews, Aaron and Ian.
Ken will be remembered for his strength, his dedication to his family, and the music he loved so dearly.
Ken’s family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Monday, April 6, 2026 at the Goldsboro Fabry Funeral Home, Inc., 21 E. Church Street, Fairchance, PA 15436 followed by Prayers of Transfer at 1:15 p.m. in the funeral home and a funeral mass at 1:30 p.m. in Sts Cyril & Methodius R. C. Church, Fairchance, PA. Entombment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown, Pa where Full Military Rights and Honors will be accorded by the George C. Marshall AMVETS Post 103 of Hopwood.
