Lanny Ray Golden

Lanny Ray Golden, age 68, of Lemont Furnace passed away on Friday March 11, 2016 with his loving family by his side. He was born in Connellesville, PA on September 24, 1947, a son of the late Melvin Ray Golden and Margaret Tressler Golden.

He is survived by his loving wife, Joann Cacciola Golden; daughters: Michelle Elizabeth Golden, Lorie Golden (Schallenberger) Rebecca Lynn Smouse; sons: Lanny Keith Golden, Sal Scottodiluzio and his wife Michelle,  John Scottodiluzio and David Scottodiluzio and his wife Laura; grandsons: Ashton and Austin Golden; several cousins.

Lanny graduated from Clairton High School,  was a member of: V.F.W. Post 8543, Sons of the American Revolution, South Connellsville Gun Club, The Hutchenson Club.  He was an advocate for veterans benefits and was instrumental in introducing The Missing in American Project to Pennsylvania. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.

He proudly served his country in the Army during the Vietnam War.

Lanny’s family will receive friends on Monday, March 14, 2016 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in the Goldsboro-Fabry Funeral Home, Inc., 21 E. Church Street, Fairchance, PA 15436 where his funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 15, 2016, with Rev. George W. McLaughlin, officiating. Interment will follow at Green Ridge Memorial Park, Pennville, Pa where full military honors will be accorded by the George C. Marshall Amvets Post 103, Hopwood, PA.
