Marjorie N. Smith

Marjorie N. Smith, age 83 of Pleasant Hills, PA died Saturday January 11, 2014 at her home with her family by her side. She was born December 12, 1930 in Pleasant Hills, a daughter of the late Harold and Ida Lora Noble.

Margie is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Stanley A. Smith; Daughters: Roberta Hemminger and her husband Gary of Elizabeth, PA and JoAnn Heigl and her companion Gary Mayberry of Harrisburg, PA; sons: Art Smith and his wife Ursula of Elizabeth, Joey Smith of Pittsburgh, PA; 3 grandchildren: Jackie and her husband Ian Workman, Nicki Friday and her husband Ryan, A.J. Smith and his wife Jenny; 3 great grandchildren: Mason and Cheyanne Smith and Lily Workman; brother: Glenn Noble and his wife Irene of Ohio.

Margie was a Pleasant Hills School Guard and a member of the Pleasant Hills Community Presbyterian Church.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 14, 2014 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Griffith Funeral Home 5636 Brownsville Road, Pittsburgh (Curry - Broughton - South Park Twp.) PA. A funeral service will take place on Wednesday at 11am in the Pleasant Hills Community Presbyterian Church 199 Old Clairton Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15236 with Rev. Mark Whitsel officiating (EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT THE CHURCH) interment will follow in Jefferson Memorial Park. The family requests that memorial contributions be made in Margie's name to The Pleasant Hills Community Presbyterian Church.
