Marvin D. Davis, 78 of Fairchance, PA, passed away Monday March 26th, 2018. Born February 2nd, 1940 in Fairchance, son of Clarence Davis and Naomi Kissinger Davis.
In addition to his parents, Marvin was preceded in death by: son, Eric Davis; daughter, Rouchelle Adams; grandson, Cody Adams; brothers, Clark and Jimmy; sisters, Onilee and Nancy
Marvin is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Betty L. (Smith) Davis; children: Melanie Jordan of Braselton GA; Jeffrey (Susan) Davis of Pittsburgh PA; Kelly (David) Cook of Westminster MD; Allen Adams of Gans PA; Grant (Jill) Adams of Charlotte NC; grandchildren: Sam Jordan, Shelby Jordan, Logan Cook, Henry Cook, Alexa Randolph, Delaney Adams, Noah Adams, Jacob Adams; great grandson, Jax Smith; sisters Lois (Vernon) Steve of Fairchance PA, Dolores (Buck) McClanahan of Prince Frederick MD, and June Lewis of Seminole FL.
Marvin, a retired local businessman, was a lifetime member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Fairtchance PA. He served 6 years in the Army Reserves and was a member of the V.F.W. Local 7219 and American Legion Post 342, both of Fairchance PA. Easy to like and hard to forget, he was loved by everyone and will be greatly missed.
Marvin’s family will receive friends on Friday, March 30th, 2018 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. at the Goldsboro-Fabry Funeral Home, Inc., 21 East Church Street, Fairchance, PA 15436, additional visitation will be held on Saturday from 11 A.M. until Noon, immediately followed by his funeral service, officiated by Reverend Timothy M. Rogers.
Interment will follow in Mount Moriah Cemetery, Smithfield PA.
