Patricia Ann Bowlen

After a long and difficult illness, Patricia Ann Bowlen, 78, of New Bern, NC, left this life on Wednesday, June 17, 2015, at 5:00 a.m., at CarolinaEast Medical Center, in New Bern.  Born   on February 22, 1937, in Smithfield, PA, she is the daughter of Leila V. Breakiron Walls, deceased, and graduated from Point Marion High School in Pennsylvania, as well as West Virginia Junior College at Morgantown.    Over the years, Patty was employed at Rockwell International, in Uniontown, PA; River Bend Golf & Country Club; J-B Lanes; and the Ten Pin Lounge, all in New Bern.  In addition, she attended Rhems Methodist, and Garber Methodist, both in New Bern, and Trinity Methodist, in Duluth, Ga.  Creative and humorous, kind and generous, Patricia remained throughout a most devoted wife, caring, empathic mother, and decidedly loyal friend.

Surviving family members include her devoted husband, Bob, of 58 years; son, Jeffrey, of Carrboro, NC; daughter Tiffany Henry of Vanceboro, NC; and two grandchildren, Emily Paige and Abbigail Rose, also of Vanceboro.

Family and friends are welcomed from 2-4 and 6-8 pm Sunday, June 21, in the Goldsboro-Fabry Funeral Home, Inc. 21 E. Church Street, Fairchance, PA, with services being held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, June 22, 2015 with Rev. George McLaughlin, officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park, in Brownfield, PA.
