Richard J. Murdy

Richard J. Murdy Age 91, of Hattiesburg, MS, died on December 8, 2011. He was the devoted husband of Ruth K. (Gelzheiser) Murdy for 68 years; father of Maureen R. Murdy of Santa Rosa Beach, FL, Kevin Murdy of Hattisburg, Lisa Brown and husband Mickey of Horn Lake, MS; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Dick was preceded in death by his father, James S. Murdy; mother, Amolia Thoss Murdy; and son, Richard J. Murdy, Jr. He was a WW II Army veteran. Dick retired as President of the producing company of Consolidated Natural Gas with 36 years of service. Friends will be received at the GOLDSBORO-TOMI FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICE, INC., John M. Fabry -Supervisor, 21 E. Church St., Fairchance, PA 15436 on Monday from 10-11 a.m., the time of the service with Rev. G. W. McLaughlin officiating. Interment will follow at Jefferson Memorial Park, Pleasant Hills with full Military Honors.
