Robert Kendall "Bob" Abraham age 73, of Fairchance, PA went to be with his Lord on Friday afternoon, August 8, 2014 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center with his loving family by his side. He was born in Fairchance, on September 4, 1941, a son of Edward Robert and Frances Kendall Abraham.
In addition to his parents Bob was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Abraham and son in law David D. Sisler
Bob is survived by his wife, Joan G. (Ringer) Abraham, daughter, Bobbi Jo Abraham Sisler of Fairchance: son, Edward Robert Abraham and his wife, Cathy of Uniontown; five grand children: Kendall and Brandon Sisler; Chelsey, Edward V., and Hannah Abraham; brother Randy Abraham and his wife Susan of Fairchance; sister in law Judith Abraham of Fairchance.
Bob was a veteran serving his country in the Navy at Anacostia Naval Base. The majority of his professional career was spent at Malsbury Manufacturing, he was also employed by Rack Engineering. He was a member of the Fairchance Volunteer Fire Department and Ambulance Corps where he served as President of the Fire Department for many years; Regular member of the Point Marion American Legion Post 499, serving on the executive committee; Social member of the Point Marion V.F.W. Post 747; member of the Hopwood Amvets Post 103; Fairchance Rod and Gun Club; and proud member of the NRA.
Bob's professional funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Goldsboro-Fabry Funeral Home, Inc. 21 E. Church Street, Fairchance, PA, John M. Fabry Supervisor.
In honoring Bob's wishes there will be no visitation and Memorial Contributions be made to the Wounded Warriors Project P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675. Family and friends are invited to honor Bob at his interment at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies. Graveside service will be Wednesday August 20, 2014 at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies at 2pm.
