Robert "Bud" "Bob" Guthrie DeVenny, Jr., age 84 of Mars, PA died Thursday, June 20, 2013 in UPMC Passavant Hospital with his loving family by his side. He was born December 21, 1928, in Pittsburgh, PA, a son of the late Robert G. DeVenny, Sr. and Loretta Braun DeVenny. Bud is survived by his wife, Dorothy Therese Hick DeVenny; children: Howard R. DeVenny and his wife Joyce of Mechanicsville, MD, Robert P. DeVenny and his wife Ann of Elyria, OH, Katherine Hunter and her husband Curtis of Aspinwall and Louise Loscar and her husband Raymond of McCandless; seven grandchildren; one great granddaughter; sister: Loretta D. Kern and her husband Craig of Castle Shannon. Bud was a CCD teacher, Eucharistic Minister/Greeter at St. Ferdinand Catholic Church, worked for J & L Steel as a systems analyst, constable for Marshall Twp., life member of Marshall Twp. Vol Fire Co. and a member of the Allegheny County Conservation District. The family will receive friends at St. Ferdinand Catholic Church 2535 Rochester Road, Cranberry Twp., PA 16066 on Friday, June 21, 2013 from 10 am until 11 am, the hour of A Mass of Christian Burial with Father George Dalton officiating.
