Rose Marie (Gelsomino) Knox

Rose Marie Gelsomino, age 87 of Fairchance passed away on Monday, May 25, 2026 at her home with her loving family by her side. She was born in Fairchance on February 6, 1939, a daughter of Dominic A. and Philomina M. Roll Gelsomino

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles A. Knox.

Rose was a member of: The Church of the Brethren in Fairchance; Sons of Italy 497.

Rose is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Rider and her husband Chris of Fairchance; granddaughters: Nichole Trump and her husband Josh of Haydentown, Jennifer Baukol and her husband Jeremy of Fairchance, Angela Robinson and her husband Ryan of Uniontown; six great granddaughters: Hannah Gesso and her husband Ryan, Meah Trump, Rylee and Reese Baukol, Kyla and Kinsley Robinson; numerous nieces and nephews.

Rose’s family is immensely grateful for the years of dedication given by  her caregivers: Becky Rider, Monica Ruble, Donna Dennis, Carrie Golembiewski, Ida Long, MaryAnn Meyokovich, Gabbie Flowers who treated Rose with such profound kindness, dignity and a level of service that went above and beyond. Also, Amedisys Hospice of Uniontown for the outstanding care given to her in the last few months.

Rose’s family will receive friends from 2-8 P.M. on Thursday, May 28, 2026 in the Goldsboro-Fabry Funeral Home, Inc., Fairchance, PA where her Funeral Service will take place at 9 A.M. on Friday. A Celebration of Life will follow for Rose and Charlie at Lakeside Venues, McClellandtown, Pa. Interment will be private in Mt Moriah Baptist Church Cemetery, Smithfield, Pa.
