Ruth K. (Gelzheiser) Murdy

Ruth K. Gelzheiser Murdy, age 98 of Santa Rosa Beach, Fl passed away peacefully in her sleep on August 1, 2021. She was born on December 5, 1922 in Pittsburgh, a daughter of George H. and Anna Marie Lahr Gelzheiser.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Richard J. Murdy; children: Dicky Murdy, Keven Murdy and Lisa Brown.

Ruth is survived by her daughter, Maureen Murdy; 6 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren.

Memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.

A graveside service was held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, August 5, 2021 at Jefferson Memorial Park, Pleasant Hills, PA.

Ruth’s profession funeral services have been entrusted to the Goldsboro-Fabry Funeral Home, Inc., Fairchance, PA.
