Sara J. Howard

Sara J. (Ward) Howard, age 67, of Uniontown went to be with her Lord Thursday morning November 14, 2013. She was born on August 10th, 1946 in Keyser, WV, a daughter of Charles E. and Sara Jean McCormick Ward.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters: Lottie Pearl Scruggs and Gretna Doris DeStefano; brother: Charles Ward, Jr.

Sara is survived by her four children: Elton "Robbie" Perdue and his wife Christina of Uniontown, Debra Jean Reynolds of Smock, Kenneth Perdue and his wife Tara of Hopwood and Scott Perdue and his wife Bernadine of Hopwood; 19 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; a sister, Jesse Dunn of Springhill, Florida.

Sara's life was her grandchildren and working at Fayette Resources as a Direct Support Professional for the last 15 years. A special "thanks" to her granddaughters Melanie Fowler and Jasmine Pitt for serving as her caregivers in her final days and Fayette Homecare Hospice for their services.

Family and friends will be received Sunday, November 17th, 2013 from 6-8 pm and Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm in the Goldsboro-Tomi Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Inc., 21 E. Church St., Fairchance, PA., John M. Fabry, Supervisor. Additional visitation will take place Tuesday morning until 10 am, the hour of the funeral service with Bishop Leonard Tucker, Sr. officiating. Interment will follow in Walnut Hill Cemetery, Uniontown, PA.
