Sidney H. "Sid" Moats, sr

Moats, Sr. Sidney H. "Sid" age 68, of Grindstone, formerly of Haydentown, PA died Thursday, July 17, 2014 at his home. He was born on July 1, 1946 in Gilmore, PA, a son of Herman F. and Kathryn Mack Moats.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers: Frank Joseph and Ronald Moats and second wife, Lenora B. Carr Moats

Sid is survived by the mother of his children, Rose Ritz of Grindstone, PA , his three children: son, Sidney H. Moats, Jr and wife Kelly of Texas, Daughter, Patricia Coddington and her husband Wayne and son, Christopher M. Moats and his wife Jennifer all of Grindstone, PA. Eight grandchildren: Brittany Fitzwater, Wayne Coddington, David Coddington, Jonathon Coddington, Kayla Moats, Christoher Moats Jr., Casey Moats, Cameron Moats. Brothers: Walden Moats and his wife Kathleen of Haydentown, Jessie Moats and his wife Anita of Smithfield, PA and Kevin Moats of Uniontown, PA., also many nieces and nephews.

Sid was a Mason and member of: Laurel Lodge #651, Uniontown Lodge of Perfection, Valley of Pittsburgh and the Syria Shrine.

Friends will be received Sunday 6-8 pm, Monday 2-4 and 6-8 pm

in the Goldsboro-Fabry Funeral Home, Inc. 21 E. Church St., Fairchance, PA John M. Fabry, Supervisor and Tuesday until 11 am the time of the funeral service with Pastor George W. McLaughlin, officiating.

A Masonic Funeral Service will take place Monday evening at 7:30 in the funeral home.

Interment will follow in the Moats Family Cemetery, Haydentown, PA.
