Vyolet Pearl (Nestor) Dils, age 91, of Smithfield, PA went to be with her Lord on Monday afternoon February 18, 2013 in WVU Hospital, Morgantown, WV with her loving family by her side.
She was born August 9, 1921 in Peel Tree, Barbour County, West Virginia a daughter of Izah Earl and Rose Norman Nestor.
Vyolet was united in marriage on October 10, 1942, to William R. Dils who preceded her in death in 1984.
In addition to her parents and husband Vyolet was predeceased by her brother: Earl Nestor Jr.; four sisters: Macel Rogers, Evelyn Bennett, Colene Frashuer and Dessie Melton.
She is survived by her son, William R. Dils, II and his wife Joan Bland Dils of Gans, PA; two sisters: Ethel Haught of Uniontown, PA and Hattie Mays of Winfield, WV; several nieces and nephews; and several great nieces and great nephews.
Mrs. Dils was a graduate of Jane Lew High School, Jane Lew, WV. She was employed at the Albert Gallatin School District where she was a teacher's aide at Smithfield School for 12 years.
Vyolet was a member of the Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, the American Legion No. 78 and the Senior Citizens, all in Smithfield, PA.
Family and friends will be received on Wednesday February 20, 2013 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm in The Goldsboro-Tomi Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Inc., 21 E. Church Street, Fairchance, PA John M. Fabry, Supervisor. Additional visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 11 am until 1 pm, the hour of her funeral service with Pastor Jay Hurley officiating. Interment to follow in Mt. Moriah Baptist Church Cemetery, Smithfield, PA. The family request that memorial donations can be made in Vyolet's name to the Mount Moriah Baptist Church in Smithfield, PA.
