Wilmer "JAKE" Adams

Wilmer “JAKE” W. Adams, age 94 of Lake Lynn died May 29, 2016 at his home. He was born on January 27, 1922 in Bowood, PA a son of Samuel Adams and Minnie Butt Adams.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Della Grace Adams; an infant daughter, Carol Joyce Adams; brothers: Samuel Adams, Robert Adams, John “Bud” Adams, Merle Adams and Burdette Adams; sisters: Eva Zinn, Elnora  Adams, Anna Grace Murphy, Lilian “Sis” Rizer, Dorothy “Dot” Kowolsky.

Surviving are his children: Elaine Brooks of Mesa, AZ, Loretta Maestle of Madison OH, Larry Adams of Lake Lynn, Tammy Renee Wade and her husband Ray of Smithfield; grandchildren: Shawn Maestle of Munson, OH, Donna Brooks of Bedford, OH, Natalie Soppitt and her husband Bob of Perry, OH, Bill (Ray) Wade Jr. and his fiancée, Chelsea of Patton, PA; nine great grandchildren; sisters: Gladys “Gat” Murphy of Vermillion, OH, Rayalene  “Raye” King of Uniontown, PA.

The family would like a special thank you to caregiver, Valerie Smith.

Jake’s family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 from 3-8 PM in the Goldsboro-Fabry Funeral Home, Inc., 21 E. Church Street, Fairchance, PA 15436, where his funeral service will take place on Thursday at 11 AM with Paastor Betty Davis officiating. Interment will follow in Mt Moriah Baptist Church Cemetery, Smithfield, PA.
