Lillie Beryl (Bowlen) Wilson, age 91, of Fairchance, passed on to her loving Lord and Savior after a long illness on Saturday, October 22, 2016 in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on January 8, 1925 in Fairchance a daughter of Samuel Allen Bowlen and Nora Mae Sutton Bowlen.

Lillie was a very active member of The Fairchance Church of the Brethren where she served as a Deacon, Sunday School Teacher and prepared funeral dinners. She also enjoyed quilting.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Melvin L. Wilson, parents, siblings: James Enoch Bowlen and his wife Betty, Violet Bowlen Cunningham and her husband Fred, Evelyn Bowlen Martonick and husband Andrew, Yvonne Bonnie Bowlen Kirchner and husband Henry, Lagatha Bowlen Abel and her husband Wendell, Jean Sutton George; sister in law, Patricia Bowlen.

Lillie is survived by her children: Susan Wilson-McClung and her husband Larry of Fairchance, Daniel Wilson and his wife Ginny of Smithfield, Scott “Beefy” Wilson of Uniontown; grandchildren: Kristy Walker and her husband Jason of Fairchance, Matthew Wilson of Hopwood, Jason Wilson and Ryan Wilson of Smithfield, Kyle Wilson of Columbus, OH,  Jonathon Wilson of Uniontown; great grandchildren: Julia Lillie Walker and Hunter Walker of Fairchance; brother, Robert Samuel Bowlen of Newburn, NC; daughter in law, JoAnn Wilson of Uniontown.

Lillie’s family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, October 25, 2016 in the Goldsboro-Fabry Funeral Home, Inc., 21 E. Street, Fairchance, PA where her funeral service will take place at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, October 26 with Pastor Vince Cable, officiating. Interment will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, PA.

Lillie’s life was one that touched many and will always be remembered in our hearts.

Lillie’s family would like to extend a special thank you to: Dr. Marcie Goisse, Gina Lewis, Cassie Hlatky, Lindsay Lent, Janice George, Pat Chaney and the staff at Amedysis Home and Health Care and Amedysis Hospice.
