William Anthony Zack, Sr.

William A. Zack, Sr., age 91 of Uniontown, PA passed away Thursday, July 6, 2017 at his home.  He was born in Uniontown, PA on February 8, 1926, a son of Domenick Zack and Carmella Lombardo Zack.

Bill worked at Sears as a salesman for over thirty years. He proudly served his country during WW II in th e Navy. Bill was the band leader in the Bill Zack & Baronaires Band. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, motorcycling and watching boxing.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by all of his nine siblings: Charles Zack, Katherine Lombardo, Lucy Ricchuito, Mary Falvo, Anthony Zack, George Zack, Rose Sileo, Phyllis Talotta and Joseph Zack; companion Barbara Addis..

He is survived by his children: Christina Zack, William A. Zack, Jr and  his wife Virginia “Ginger”, Michael Zack and his wife Tammy; two grandchildren; Michael Zack and Jessica Zack;  all of Uniontown; several nieces and nephews; companion Barbara Addis; Barbara Addis’s children, Mary and Angie and grandchildren, Stephane, AJ, Ryan, Dana, Kevin, Keith and Justine.   

Bill’s family will receive friends from 2-5 pm on Sunday, July 9, 2017 in the Goldsboro-Fabry Funeral Home, Inc., 21 E. Church Street, Fairchance, PA. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, July 10, 2017 in The National Cemetery of the Alleghenies 1158 Morgan Road, Bridgeville, PA 15017 where Full Military Honors will be accorded by the George C. Marshall AMVETS Post 103 of Hopwood.
