Elinor E. (Balsley) Zeterberg

Elinor Elizabeth “Balsley” Zeterberg, age 95, of Uniontown, PA passed away Wednesday, January 13, 2016 in Lafayette Manor. She was born on June 17, 1920 in Connellsville, PA, a daughter of James I. Balsley and Nell Newcomer Balsley.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Higgins Zeterberg and her only sibling, a sister, Eugenia Louise Balsley.

Elinor is survived by several cousins.

At an early age her family moved to Pittsburgh, where she graduated from the South Hills High School. She attended the University of Pittsburgh and Slippery Rock University earning her Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Maryland. She was a fifty year member of the Carrick Chapter #231 Order of the Eastern Star. She was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Mary Carroll Caton Chapter, Catonsville, Maryland. During her lifetime Mrs. Zeterberg was employed as an office worker for several companies in the Pittsburgh and Baltimore areas.

In honoring Elinor’s request there will be no pubic visitation. A grave side funeral service will take place on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at 11 am in the Walnut Hill Cemetery, Uniontown, PA with Rev. Dr. Arnold Husk, officiating.
